As people come to the end of their life, they often tend to return to their cultural andspiritual roots. For this reason Jewish Family Service (JFS) and the Jewish Hospice and Chaplaincy Network (JHCN) joined together to develop the only Jewish hospice volunteer core in Michigan. JFS and JHCN work together with every certified hospice organization in the tri-county Detroit area to provide a broad range of support services to those who are suffering from a chronic or terminal illness.
Anyone can volunteer, whether you are a student or a retired individual. The time given by our volunteers touches so many and truly makes a difference to those who seek our help.
For more information, or to become a hospice volunteer, please call the Volunteer Department at 248-592-2687, or e-mail us at info@jewishhospice.org
Volunteer training will take place over the cource of two days – (new dates needed). Volunteers must attend both sessions.
