Natalie & Manny’s Legacy Enrichment

Archivist Sharon Alterman records Lillian Kaufman’s memories, family stories, reflections and values of a life well lived. Sharon will create a legacy document for Lillian to gift to her loved ones.

Natalie & Manny’s Legacy Enrichment

Reflecting on one’s values, documenting family stories and reminiscing on one’s life helps patients focus and persevere through pain and other symptoms. This life review and legacy publishing project is a program named by Natalie Charach in memory of
her late husband Manny, z’l.

Our patients will tell their story in a manner that honors and respects their dignity while focusing on values and important messages for future generations. We foresee these thoughtful conversations as therapeutic and cathartic, adding peace and comfort during this extremely vulnerable time.

An archivist and JHCN team members will work to create a project that may include: a brief memoir, audio / video recordings, photos, scrapbooks, music, poetry or song. The final product, tailored to the patient’s interests and wishes, will be presented to patient and family to treasure together. Archival products will be used to create these presentations, preserving Natalie & Manny’s Legacy projects for posterity.

We are thankful for Natalie Charach’s vision and generosity in creating this unique program. You may support this initiative by clicking here and choosing the fund from the dropdown menu.
